Ham and Bean Soup

1 lb package dried northern beans (no need to soak, just rinse)
Ham bone, hocks, shanks or diced ham (about 1 pound)
6 cups water
salt and pepper

Rinse and sort beans. Throw everything in crock pot for 6 hours on low.
Or pressure cook for about 30 minutes.
